AB23 in CA fails the first round! On Monday AB23 failed to pass the CA assembly by ONE VOTE! But the fight is not over yet. The measure is up for another vote on Thursday, so it is more important than ever to call the Assemblymembers - even if you do not live in California! If it happens there, it can happen anywhere, possibly nationally. Go here for more information and phone numbers of the CA legislators. Please call as many of them as you can and urge them to vote NO on AB 23. |
Today in the ???? I have deleted the "Today in the USA" picture for now as I am unable to update it on a daily basis. If you really miss it that much, let me know. If enough people want it returned, I may put it back up. |
Where are the catalogs? Our catalogs are coming late this year for varius reasons. For those of you who have been trying to get one, make your request about the middle of May and we should be able to get one to you then. Thanks for your patience! |
Assault Autos Had a humorous e-mail sent to me from a mailing list. Kudos to whomever came up with this as I found it very funny, and very true! |

We may see some short delays in delivery as our coater also does work for Boeing, and they come first. MSRP on our stripped lowers is $99 - the lowest from any manufacturer! Also new is our OA-93TG. "PC" Gun Range I found this absolutely amazing. A fellow in the Dallas, TX area goes to a local gun range to practice some safe, friendly target shooting with his AR-style rifle. When he gets to the counter to pay his range fees, the man is asked what he is shooting. He replies, "A .223," thinking that they want to know the caliber. He is asked what GUN he is shooting, so he tells him an AR. The man is told that those guns aren't allowed there and is refused entry! The name of the range is the Winchester Public Shooting Range off of Luna road in Dallas, Texas. The address is: 10751 Luna Rd. Phone# (972) 556-0164. If you call, be polite, but be sure to express your distaste with their policies. You may want to ask them to kiss the picture of Bill Clinton they have hanging on the wall too! |
Truth is better than fiction This is a True Story excerpted from a radio interview: The female newscaster is interviewing the leader of a youth club:
Interviewer: "So, Mr. Jones, what are you going to do with these children on this adventure holiday?"
I am assuming that her interview went downhill from there. :o) |
From the "well, DUH" file On ABC network news a week or so ago, they did a little informal test with the help of a local police dept. Some of the kids had been through the NRA's Eddie Eagle program, others had never been exposed to firearms whatsoever. With cameras rolling, parents, police and Ted Kopel watching, they setup a senario where 2 kids entered a classroom and encountered a (non-firing) handgun. The children with no training picked up the gun and played with it, some pointing and snapping the trigger! Their parents were horrified! The 'Eddie Eagle kids' never touched the revolver, looked at each other, stated they needed to find an adult, and got out of there. I don't recall the words spoken by Kopel, but he more or less gave credit where credit was due. Hey Ted... did this go quite the way you expected? heh heh heh... |
