Rosie O'Donnell & K-Mart Rosie is still on the rampage - telling women to become felons and turn in their husband's firearms, saying that anyone who has a gun should be thrown in jail, and other rabid nonsense. What a winner. And then, when she had Tom Selleck on the show, she grilled him about gun control rather than what he appeared for - his new movie. She did offer an apoligy to him, which he declined! Selleck said it was "an act of moral vanity" for O'Donnell to assume that someone who disagrees with her cares any less about gun control. He said he felt attacked. "It's your show," he said, "and you can talk about it after I leave." If anyone has a way to contact Mr. Selleck, please let me know! Now, the nice thing is that we can fight her two ways. #1 - She, along with AcmeCity, is offering 20MB of free webspace to anyone who abides by AcmeCity's terms of use - basically no smut or commercial sites. Check ours out, and then make one of your own! Tell her and the rest of the world what you think of her. You can also find links to other Rosie/RKBA pages here. #2 - She is a "spokes-thing" for K-Mart; a company that makes a part of its profit from firearms sales. They claim that they defend O'Donnell's freedom of speech, but that wasn't the story when they fired Fuzzy Zoeller the golfer for making a joke. Dial 1-800-635-6278 then press "2" to talk to a customer service rep. Let them know that Rosie O'Donnell is STILL making anti-gun demands on her show. Tell them straight out that you'll shop at Meijers or Walmart until they muzzle or fire her. |
Gore Casts Key Gun Vote With Vice President Al Gore casting a tie-breaking vote, the Senate today approved a Democratic proposal to slap fresh restrictions on gun transactions at gun shows and pawn shops. Democrats immediately declared victory over the powerful gun lobby. The National Rifle Association refused to concede defeat, accusing the White House of backing "a charade of lawmaking without law enforcement." The "NRA will continue to hold a mirror up to this dishonest process until the American people demand more meaningful and substantive action from government," the group said in a statement. "Everyone knows this won’t stop the crisis in our schools." The issue now goes to the House, where Speaker Dennis Hastert, R-Ill., and the minority leader, Rep. Dick Gephardt, D-Mo., were working out procedures for consideration of the measure. Be sure to call your Reps and let them know you do NOT support this atrocity, and that you want to see the current laws enforced before more meaningless laws are introduced. You can find your Reps information here. |
News of the Stupid Rob Payer, known on the air as Rob-O, was fired Wednesday from WEMX in Baton Rouge, LA when the station was flooded with telephone complaints after he took a call from a fourth-grader who had been thrown out of school for cursing. Payer suggested that the child take an automatic rifle to school and shoot people. Hmmm... that was probably NOT the smart move. |
