WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The National Shooting Sports Foundation and seven police firearms companies today (04-26-00)filed suit in federal court against Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Andrew Cuomo, New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal and mayors and other officials of 14 municipalities, charging them with an illegal conspiracy in restraint of trade and in violation of the Commerce Clause of the United States Constitution. Within the last 6 months or so law enforcement sales have climbed substantially. Due to this fact, and contrary to what seems to be public opinion we do not stock or carry "on the shelf" LE only firearms. We are currently quoting 90 days for delivery on most non-class III weapons. Class III departmental purchases will take 90 days to 6 months depending on the speed at which the BATF processes the necessary paperwork. Class III includes 3 round burst, full auto, and short barreled rifle purchases. If you are an LE officer and planning an order soon, please allow 90 days for delivery. Calling weekly to check on the order will not make it go faster.
