California Update Currently, there are three bills which NRA-ILA is monitoring which have yet to be considered by the Senate. Two of these bills are NRA-backed. AB 48 (Wright) would grant immunity to law-abiding gun owners who were unjustly prosecuted for possessing an SKS when Attorney General Dan Lungren did an about face on the legality of the gun, and AB 2022 (Wright) would make significant improvements to California's concealed carry law. The third is AB 2560 (Perata), the semi-auto gun ban, which NRA, and Olympic Arms, strongly opposes. Please continue to contact your lawmakers and encourage them to support AB 48 and AB 2022 and to oppose AB 2560. Call today, tomorrow, and the next until we see the changes necessary! |

TIME magazine; pro- or anti-gun? It seems lately that TIME magazine has been moving our way. TIME has stated several times in the past that it is a staunch supporter of the gun grabbers, but recent articles have been published that show them as almost unbiased reporters. Could there be a change in the wind? Read here for an example. |

FBI Wants to Keep Gun Buyers' Names Well, the recently released FBI regulations said everything we thought they would. Yes, they want to keep the names for 18 months, and yes, they plan to impose a tax on many of the firearms purchased from gun dealers.
