The suit starts off as a regular Battle Dress Uniform. The knees and elbows are reinforced with Cordura covered 3/8" closed cell foam. The entire front is covered with 1000 denier Cordura nylon for maximum abrasion resistance. The pockets are removed and placed on the sleeves, and on the inside of the top. A rubberized nonslip shooting surface is added to the firing shoulder. The entire back of the suit is covered with nylon netting which is securely sewn on. A boonie hat is also covered with nylon netting.

These suits come in two configurations; partial and complete. The partial suit consists of all of the sewing of the uniform, with no garnish tied on. The complete suit consists of all of the sewing, and is completely covered with garnish - ready to put into action.

For garnish we use a lightweight synthetic material that is specially cut in irregular patterns that closely resemble natural vegetation. This material is far superior to jute, burlap or hemp rope. It blends better, is a fraction of the weight, retains little moisture and gives a better impression of natural vegetation. Our garnish comes in tan, brown, loam and forest green.

Most customers provide us with a uniform, but we can supply a new uniform at additional cost. When ordering a suit, please select a size that fits loosely when worn. A size larger in height, length and waist is recommended.

For our customers in hot weather climates, we offer our vent backing. This consists of removing the entire back of the top and replacing it with nylon mesh. We also remove the top of the hat and sew in mesh as well. This aids in ventilation, and helps to keep you cool. If purchasing a uniform from us, please include hat, chest, waist size and inseam of normal fitting clothes.

Also, when ordering complete ghillie suits, please advise us of the terrain you expect to be using the suit in so we may adjust the garnish accordingly.
