Maxhard Information and Dealer Pricing
The company that brought you the flat top AR upper receiver, the tubular free floated handguard, the pistol caliber conversion, the 7.62x39 caliber AR and so much more, is at it again with Maxhard®.Check out the following characteristics:
Aluminum
Our AR-15 type receivers are made from aircraft quality 7075T6 aluminum forgings, as are most AR receivers. But once we Maxhard® a receiver, that is where the similarities end.
A normal aluminum receiver may not even give a metallurgist a Rockwell (hardness) reading. If it does, it may register 1 or 2 on the “Rc” scale. Once they have been through the Maxhard® process they become 20 times harder, and give a reading of 20 Rc!
Maxhard® treatment will give you a smoother, black hard anodized finish that will resist corrosion better, be more lubrous than, and reduce friction better than any other aluminum receiver made by anyone.
We are so convinced that a Maxhard® receiver will be so much better than any other receiver you have ever used, we will give you a 60 day money back guaranty and a LIFETIME warranty against fatal wear.
Steel
Steel reacts much the same way as aluminum to the Maxhard® process. In many ways though, different, and better. This process is so radical, it actually changes the molecular structure of stainless steel!
A standard 4140 Chromemoly barrel will Rockwell at somewhere in the ball park of 28-30 Rc. Once treated, it will register 58 Rc. Almost double the hardness, with no dimensional changes! All Chromemoly steel barrels will be button rifled with a 1x9 twist.
Stainless steel barrels are manufactured with 416R stainless ands normal Rockwell is also in the 28-30 range. Stainless Maxhard® barrels however will check in at 62 Rc. Even harder that the chromemoly barrels.
All Maxhard® barrels will produce an extremely hard metal that will be smoother, causing no fouling. You will be able to wipe your bore clean with one patch through. All barrels will also dissipate heat so rapidly, you will never have to worry about heat damaging the bore, even full auto!
This process is also available on stainless steel 1911 style pistol frame and slide matched sets only.
