Special stripped lowers available for delivery!

In an effort to meet the demand for stripped lowers, Olympic Arms is going to make a special run of receivers that were originally made for our OA-93 pistol. As such, the receiver extension tube (or buffer tube) hole and threads were not milled out, and the front lug was made wider than mil-spec for use with our OA-93 uppers. When the ban came about, these receivers were not with the rest of the parts to manufacture a pistol, and so BATF declared them post-ban. As they were made for pistols, and were not machined for rifles, some 500+ receivers were put into storage and left to collect dust.

Skip ahead to 1999. The demand for AR-style parts is higher than ever. We have "re-discovered" these lowers, and have decided to resurrect them in order to try to meet the call for AR receivers. However, as they stand, they need more machining to make them functional. So we are drilling and tapping the rear of the receivers for the receiver extension tube, and we are making stress proof steel bushings for the front in order to accept a standard AR upper receiver lug (see photos).

The side benefit to the bushing addition is the extra strength and wear resistance that this portion of the receiver will gain. The bushings are solidly attached so as not to work free, and the bearing surfaces against the upper and pivot pin will be replaced with hardened steel, making wear in this area a non-existent concern. The lowers are our standard 7075 T6 forgings, CNC machined to as near mil-spec as possible or better.

Unfortunately, due to the increased costs of refinishing these lowers and the precise machining involved in producing the bushings, we cannot sell these for our normal $99 MSRP price. But the upside is that these receivers are available today, not 60-90+ days from now.

Cost per receiver is $175 MSRP plus Shipping & Handling. Orders will only be accepted using Visa, MC, or AmEx, but the card will not be billed until shipment is made. Also, because of the high demand and limited supply, we will not be offering any quantity discounts, but you can order as many as you want at one time. At this time these receivers are in stock, so we can usually deliver on the same day as they are ordered.

Dealers that have long standing orders can opt to change to these receivers if they would like, and these will be shipped to them first. They will have to pay the increased price, and again, no discounts are available. Remember, when these are gone, they are gone. We will take orders up to the point when we know for a fact there are no more to ship, but a few of the last orders may be cancelled if shipping runs out before the sales office receives notification. The sooner you place your order, the better your chance of delivery.

Call your dealer today to place an order. Any dealer with an FFL can order these for you directly from us. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at (360) 456-3688.
