FIRSH Rail handguard Panels/Covers

With the virtual perfection of the rail handguard system accomplished with the FIRSH system developed by Olympic Arms, the next logical step was to have a rail panel cover that equaled the advances made in the handguard itself. In other words, a compliment to the system, not just a "status quo" panel developed and sold by another manufacturer.

Well, with our help and input in the product development, that success has been achieved as well. Shown on the right are the panels that fit that bill. On the left is the full coverage panel, and on the right, the low profile cover.

When using a rail handguard system of any type, history has shown that the panels add quite a bit of bulk to the size of the handguard. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing, but for some the added bulk was a bit too much.

For this reason we offer the full coverage and the "low profile" model panels. As shown on the left, the low profile model is very petite. It fills the clots in the handguard allowing for very comfortable handling, without adding the bulk.

Here is a shot of a FIRSH (F8R model) handguard with a set of full cover panels installed. This shot shows the end of the handguard, allowing visualization of the size and overall shape of the handguard with panels installed.

These panels are made from a very durable rubber compound that is flexible, comfortable, and easy to manipulate. If need be, you can cut these panels with ease to fit a desired length or even shape with no ill effects to the fitting of the panels.

The photo above shows an F8R FIRSH carbine length handguard outfitted with full cover panels and a row of the low profile covers. You can see here, and in the photo to the right, that the low profile covers are exactly that, very low profile. The photo to the right shows the low-pro panels on the rail to the bottom of the image.

Above, you can see quite well how the low-pro panels fill in the picatinny slots very nicely.

This is one of the best features of these panel covers, and one of the features we wanted on any panels we offered.
