This is it - the original AR15 pistol! The first AR15 pistol that does not require any type of buttstock assembly at all. Completely eliminates the need for a recoil tube or traditional buffer system.
The OA93 upper is a 6.5" barreled upper chambered in 5.56x45 only. It utilizes a 416 SS barrel with a 1x7" twist and a black-oxide finish. An aluminum free-float handguard aids in cooling and accuracy. The operations rod above the barrel is the housing for the recoil system that is unique to the OA93. Optics ready, picatinny railed upper. No front sights.
The original OA93 was designed with a lower that was not machined out for the receiver extension tube. That being the case, if your plan is to install this upper on a standard AR15 lower, you may also wish to purchase the RAK, or receiver Adapter Kit, to plug the receiver extension tube hole in the back of your lower receiver.
If you desire Iron sights, please consider the OAS system offered by Olympic that essentially gives you a 1911 sight system.
