This is the top-half to the best value in accuracy-based AR15 carbines out there. The K16 is well known for its awesome performance right out of the box. Half-inch groups at 100 yards are the norm, not the exception with this upper. Chambered in what is now called 300 Blackout, Olympic Arms was the first AR15 manufacturer in the world to offer this chambering- originally called 300 Fireball, then adapted by J.D. Jones as the 300 Whisper®, this cartridge wasa standardized as the 300 Blackout by Advanced Armament Corporation. This is a fun little cartridge and an excellent short-medium distance 30 caliber option for the AR15 platform using both standard 5.56/223 bolts and magazines. This upper is both powerful and accurate. Uses standard AR15 magazines of all capacities.

The K16-300UR upper comes standard with:

  • 1" SS Bull barrel
  • 1x8" twist
  • Picatinny flat-top upper
  • Picatinny Gas block
  • Button Rifled Match-grade barrel
  • Blak-Tac Bolt carrier
  • Magnu-fluxed, roll peened -better than 'mil-spec' bolt
  • Free-floating aluminum handguard assembly for superior accuracy
  • Lifetime Warranty!

K16 uppers are available in the following calibers.

  • 5.56x45
  • 7.62x39
  • 6.8 Remington
  • 204 Ruger

When choosing optional handguards, the mid-length F85RP handguard option eliminates the picatinny gas block as the handguard itself covers the gas-block area. In this case the picatinny gas block will be replaced with a low-profile gas block instead.
